Years ago I was driving down Potash Road in Moab scouting out the White Rim Trail. I only have one picture from that day and it’s one I’ve returned to numerous times. The shapes and colors that the rotund boulders and shadows created have stuck with me for 3 years. Every time I paint or sketch that scene it becomes a new story. This one in particular is softer with purples for depth, pinks and sandy oranges for the flowing desert.
